1. How to respond:
a) The first method is to change a strong point into a weakness:
For example, I am a perfectionist who rarely believes that anybody else can work as effectively as I do; as a result, delegating responsibilities to others is tough for me.
This method has a disadvantage. If you are not adaptable and sensitive, you may give the impression that you are cheating on the interviewer.
b) The second option is to address your flaw:
A better way to answer this question is to mention one issue that was formerly a weakness of yours that you have successfully conquered.
For example, because I am a perfectionist, delegating tasks to others is tough for me. But, having witnessed the positive aspects of group work, I am aware that, in order to maximize the efficiency of group work, I must completely delegate to other members of the group.
2. Tips for answering the "weakness" topic in an interview:
Don't bring up any flaws that are related to the job's most critical demand;
Don't try to hide a flaw because the employer might assume you're lying to him, and he might question you about additional flaws;
Never claim to be without flaws. Because no one is flawless, you cannot and should not say such things.
This is a question that you should never avoid addressing. This is a frequent interview question that allows you to demonstrate your honesty and willingness to learn and deal with challenges.
