Role Profile:

To effectively assist the FM supervisors in the execution of the operation and maintenance for the material handling conveyor system by adhering the SOP’s and safety procedures. Support the operations by controlling the throughputs and thereby ensuring the optimal usage of the system.




Take ownership of the facility in the absence of FM supervisor and deal with the operations for the requirements. Undertake maintenance activities as scheduled by coordinating with different sections and execute them efficiently.


To ensure compliance with Company policy and procedures in line with annual operating plan.


The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited:


Executes Preventive & Corrective maintenance accordingly to the instruction given by the Supervisor with full compliance to SOPs and Site Safety rules and regulations. Usage of suitable PPE for work, safety fencing/cover/door opened for any work/reason must be closed immediately after completion of the task before the machine is turned live. Carries out periodical of checks/maintenance inspections stated on the checklist.

Support the conveyor O & M team by coordinating with the operations regarding the maintenance and throughput controls.

Thorough with all electrical systems like panels and circuit boards, special equipment’s and analyzing & troubleshooting of faults occurring in the system.

Require high degrees of analytical and troubleshooting skills with quick responses.

Analyze and seeks for continuous improvements on the field to build and maintain strong relationships with the staffs.

Possess basic knowledge of FM operations and need to support the requirements in the absence of FM supervisor.

Need good temperament and be able to follow the escalation procedures without fail.

Adheres all safety rules, regulations and always take appropriate precautions during his working hours.

Should be prepared to work in shifts.

Knowledge:


Electrical Engineering background with knowledge in regulations and standards

Strong written and verbal communication style using English Language and ability to adapt style to meet needs to different business units.

Computer literate in the areas of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Electrical troubleshooting skills

H&S knowledge

Knowledge in PLC controllers drives and BMS will be an advantage.

Basic Knowhow on FM operations.

Experience


At least 3-5 years’ experience in an Engineer role.

FMCG / Automated conveyor line background

H&S –Knowledge on basic safety polices & procedures as per the country, able to provide safety toolbox to the staffs.

Ability to instruct and control contractors.

Electrical trouble shooting

Full Driving License is essential

Knowledge in material handling conveyor system.

Perform operation and maintenance as planned and system trouble shooting capabilities.

Problem solving skills, ability to use their initiative/ lateral thinking.

Planning & Organizational Skills.

Additional Role Requirements:

Always follow Group and company policies and procedures.

Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.

Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.

Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager.

Would be required to work a shift pattern including weekends and nights.
