The Senior Software Development Engineer will have responsibility for designing, developing and deploying key technology components for the Staytus business and managing the software development team, reporting to the VP Technical Operations.
You:

- You have extensive experience in software development and architecture, with a deep expertise in modern Web development techniques. You have practiced agile software development and you are comfortable working on projects on both Linux and Windows platforms.

- You have (requirements):
- Energy, creativity, maturity, prim attention to detail, consistent rigour, and a great sense of humour.
- You possess a proven record of delivering outstanding quality software with great usability. Agile software development experience – proven experience in projects managed using agile methods.
- Outstanding Web application design skills – proven command of the following technologies : PHP, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, SSL, SOAP and knowledge of PHP frameworks such as Symfony is mandatory. Also, mobile development experience with Android (Java, Kotlin) and iOS (objective C, Swift) and RubyOnRails would be appreciated.
- Interfacing and API skills: You can literally “talk to us in JSON” and know XML inside out.
- Database, networking and operating system background – as a university graduate in Computer Science or related fields, you understand more than just Web frameworks. Practical experience in configuration of LAMP platforms is required.
- Excellent communications skills – good command of English required.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Design, develop and test solutions leading the project team; control the quality of the deliveries and document the work carried out.
- After an initial hand-over time you will be fully managing the software development team that develops our server and mobile systems.
- Contribute to technology research and development – learn from practical cases to architect and/or improve operational processes, and share issues and ideas to help improve Staytus technology. Your position will be based in Dubai.
