Description:
Responsibilities:
• Undertake design project from concept to completion Including Plans, sections, elevations and details.
• Have Experience in F&B, retail and Office projects.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities.
• Prepare graphic design presentations and artwork.
• Define project requirements and schedule during the “brief”
• Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans
• Research and decide on materials and products sourcing
• Supervise work progress
• Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices
• Developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with clients (the brief)
• Understanding clients' needs and the needs of the people using the building,
• Developing design concepts in consultation with the client and establishing final briefs;
• Preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software
Requirements:
• Expertise in layouts, plans, sections, elevations, detailing, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.
• Proficient in Photoshop, illustrator, AutoCAD & 3D Max(Preferable).
• Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
• Communication and presentation skills
• Project management skills
• BSC degree in Interior Design or similar
SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALITIES:
An interior designer must have:
• Creativity and imagination
• An eye for design, including detailing
• The ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others
• Good drawing and IT skills
• Good organizational skills, to ensure each project is
completed on time and within budget
• Awareness of technical interior design issues, and the
range of relevant products and materials
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Confidence with figures
• Self-discipline
